Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EnFix TAC-T is a demineralized bone fiber (DBF) allograft implant developed by Tetrous, Inc. for use in orthopedic soft tissue repairs, primarily rotator cuff repair surgery. Derived from 100% demineralized cortical bone allograft from voluntarily donated human tissues, EnFix TAC-T is classified as a Human Cells, Tissues, and Cellular and Tissue-Based Product (HCT/P) under FDA 21 CFR Part 1271. The implant is designed to enhance biologic healing at the bone-to-tendon interface (the enthesis) by exposing bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) and other growth factors that stimulate osteoinductive and osteoconductive tissue formation. EnFix TAC-T features a cannulated design that allows bone marrow elements to wick up from the subchondral bone into the healing site, and is configured specifically to accommodate varying bone availability based on rotator cuff tear size. It can be used independently of a suture anchor or in conjunction with all-suture anchors.
