Overview

Enforce-T is a preclinical cell therapy candidate developed by Benethera for the treatment of various autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, including colitis, asthma, and allergic diseases. The therapeutic approach involves using CRISPR-Cas9 technology to engineer conventional T cells (Tconv), converting them into regulatory T-like (Treg-like) cells. The mechanism of action is centered on the modulation of Ryanodine Receptor 2 (Ryr2) and its downstream signaling pathways to induce immune suppression and restore homeostasis in inflammatory environments.
