Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EnGeneIC Dream Vector (EDV) is a novel, bacterially derived, non-living nanocell platform developed by EnGeneIC Pty Ltd. It is designed for targeted delivery of various therapeutic payloads, including cytotoxic drugs, siRNAs, miRNAs, adjuvants, and antigens, directly to target cells. The EDV can be engineered with bispecific antibodies to specifically target receptors on cancer cells, such as the Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR), thereby reducing systemic toxicity and enhancing drug penetration. In vaccine applications, the EDV, when packaged with antigens and adjuvants like α-galactosyl ceramide, stimulates an alternate immune response pathway involving iNKT cells, dendritic cells, follicular helper T cells, and B cells, leading to the production of high-affinity antibodies and long-lasting memory cells. This dual approach aims for safer, more targeted treatments in oncology and effective immune responses in infectious diseases.
