Overview

Engineered Immune Effector (EIE) therapy is a cell-based immunotherapy platform developed by the Shenzhen Geno-Immune Medical Institute (GIMI). This therapeutic approach utilizes tailor-made immune effector cells that are engineered to recognize and target multiple tumor-associated antigens (TAAs) or antigens associated with specific infectious agents. Unlike standard CAR-T therapies, EIE cells are customized for individual patients to address the specific antigenic profile of their disease, whether it be a hematological malignancy, a solid tumor, or a persistent viral or fungal infection. GIMI has integrated EIE into its broad portfolio of immune therapies, which also includes 4th generation CAR-T cells and dendritic cell vaccines, and has applied these technologies in clinical trial settings involving over 1,000 patients through collaborations with various hospitals.
