Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Engraftis (PKM-02) is an innovative, locally administered regenerative therapy designed as an artificial bone marrow niche to treat poor graft function and enhance successful engraftment following hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Developed by PK MED, Engraftis consists of controlled-release microparticles of the small molecule thrombopoietin receptor agonist eltrombopag encapsulated within a biodegradable polymeric matrix. It is designed for direct intramedullary injection or implantation into the patient's bone marrow prior to transplantation, where it acts locally to promote stem cell homing, support healthy blood cell production, and improve transplant outcomes while minimizing systemic exposure.
