The Enhanced Influenza Vaccine is a next-generation vaccine candidate being developed through a strategic collaboration between SK Bioscience and Sanofi. Positioned within SK Bioscience's "Premium" vaccine category, this candidate is designed to elicit a more robust immune response compared to standard influenza vaccines, potentially through the use of higher antigen concentrations, novel adjuvants, or advanced manufacturing platforms. The project aims to address the needs of populations with higher vulnerability to influenza, such as the elderly, who often experience reduced vaccine efficacy with traditional formulations. The vaccine is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical trials to evaluate its safety and immunogenicity.
