Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Eniagor is a topical solution developed by Apsen Farmacêutica S.A. containing 5% minoxidil (50 mg/mL). It is specifically indicated for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia (hereditary baldness) in adult men. Minoxidil, the active ingredient, is a small molecule vasodilator that is thought to stimulate hair growth by opening ATP-sensitive potassium channels in the hair follicles, which prolongs the anagen (growth) phase and increases follicle size. Eniagor is formulated as a topical scalp solution and is contraindicated for use in women.
