Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Enicepatide + petrelintide is an investigational fixed-dose combination of two once-weekly subcutaneous peptide drugs being developed by Roche, in collaboration with Zealand Pharma, for chronic weight management in adults with obesity or overweight. The combination consists of enicepatide (formerly CT-388), a cAMP signal-biased dual glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and gastric inhibitory polypeptide (GIP) receptor agonist, and petrelintide, a long-acting human amylin receptor agonist. By combining incretin receptor dual agonism with amylin receptor agonism, the therapy aims to achieve enhanced weight loss efficacy through complementary satiety and metabolic pathways while maintaining a favorable gastrointestinal tolerability profile. The combination is being evaluated in the Phase II ZYNERGY dose-finding clinical trial.
