Overview

eNK is a preclinical-stage cell therapy being developed by Escure Biotechnology (Beijing Escure Biotechnology Co., Ltd.). The product consists of natural killer (NK) cells derived from human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) that have been genetically edited to enhance their anti-tumor effector functions. By utilizing an embryonic stem cell source, eNK is designed as a standardized, "off-the-shelf" therapeutic intended to overcome the limitations of primary NK cells, such as limited expansion potential and donor variability. The genetic modifications are aimed at improving the cells' cytotoxicity, persistence, and ability to navigate the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, although specific molecular targets and edits have not been publicly disclosed.
