Enkad-Biolik

Enkad-Biolik is an approved metabolic and immunomodulating medicine developed and manufactured by Biolik Biopharmaceutical in Ukraine. The active ingredient, enkad, is a complex of ribonucleotides derived from the hydrolysis of yeast RNA. It functions by regulating nucleotide metabolism in tissues, improving cellular membrane stability, and enhancing muscle bioenergetics and nerve impulse conduction. The drug is primarily indicated for the treatment of hereditary retinal diseases, such as tapetoretinal degeneration and retinal abiotrophy, as well as Sjögren's syndrome and various degenerative neuromuscular conditions, including hereditary myopathies and spinal amyotrophies. It is typically administered via intramuscular or subconjunctival injection, or topically through phonophoresis.
