Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The combination of **enlonstobart + nab-paclitaxel + carboplatin** is an investigational chemoimmunotherapy regimen consisting of the anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody enlonstobart (SG001), the nanoparticle albumin-bound formulation of paclitaxel (nab-paclitaxel), and the platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent carboplatin. Enlonstobart targets and blocks the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor on T cells, preventing its interaction with PD-L1 and PD-L2, thereby restoring T-cell-mediated anti-tumor immune responses. Nab-paclitaxel is a microtubule inhibitor that binds to beta-tubulin, stabilizing microtubules and preventing cell division, while carboplatin is an alkylating agent that binds to DNA, causing intra-strand and inter-strand crosslinks that disrupt DNA replication and transcription. Together, this combination exerts synergistic anti-tumor activity by combining immune checkpoint inhibition with cytotoxic chemotherapy. The regimen is primarily being evaluated in clinical trials for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, including squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and gynecological malignancies.
