ENN-01

ENN-01 is a topical biologic therapy consisting of a human recombinant epidermal growth factor (EGF) formulation, developed by Ennar Pharmaceuticals AF for the treatment of plaque psoriasis. The therapeutic rationale is based on the observation that the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and its ligands are overexpressed in active psoriatic lesions, driving the hyperproliferation of keratinocytes. ENN-01 functions by downregulating these overexpressed receptors through topical exposure, effectively acting as an EGFR antagonist to normalize skin cell growth. It has been investigated in Phase 1 physiological studies to evaluate its ability to reduce EGFR levels in psoriatic plaques.
