Overview

ENOB-CV-11 is an experimental therapeutic candidate developed by Renovaro BioSciences (formerly Enochian Biosciences) for the prevention and treatment of infections caused by a broad range of coronaviruses (pan-coronavirus), including SARS-CoV-2, and influenza viruses (pan-influenza). The drug utilizes a proprietary "Hijack RNA" technology licensed from the Seraph Research Institute and G-Tech Bio. This approach involves delivering an RNA sequence that remains dormant in healthy cells but is triggered by the presence of viral RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) in infected cells. Once activated, the RNA sequence expresses a "suicide gene" or a toxic protein that selectively induces apoptosis or cell death in the infected cell, thereby halting viral replication and spread. This mechanism is designed to be resistant to viral mutations by targeting a fundamental and conserved component of the viral life cycle.
