ENOB-FL-01 is an investigational RNA-based therapeutic candidate designed for the prevention and treatment of influenza, including potential pan-influenza applications. Developed by Renovaro Biosciences (formerly Enochian Biosciences) in collaboration with the Seraph Research Institute, the drug utilizes a proprietary "Hijack RNA" technology. This platform involves an engineered RNA molecule that remains dormant in healthy cells but is specifically recognized and activated by the influenza virus's RNA-dependent RNA polymerase upon infection. Once activated, the Hijack RNA triggers a suicide signal (apoptosis) within the infected cell, effectively eliminating the site of viral replication while sparing uninfected tissue. This mechanism is intended to be broad-spectrum and resilient against viral mutations, as it targets a conserved viral function required for replication.
