Overview

ENOB-FL-11 is an investigational RNA vaccine utilizing a Hijack RNA platform technology for prophylactic protection against influenza viruses. The technology is designed to be delivered via aerosol/inhalation and works by targeting a conserved RNA sequence found in all pandemic influenza variants since 1918. The approach involves delivery through an AAV particle or nanoparticle that waits in respiratory epithelial cells until infection occurs. Since target cells in human airways can live 6 to 20 months, a single inhalation could potentially provide protection for extended periods. The Hijack RNA recognizes similar code sequences across all pandemic influenza variants, potentially enabling broad protection from a single inhaled dose. Developed by Renovaro Biosciences (formerly Enochian BioSciences) under license from G Tech Bio, the candidate was in early preclinical development as of 2021.
