Overview

Enoxalow is a branded formulation of enoxaparin sodium, a low molecular weight heparin anticoagulant that exerts antithrombotic effects primarily by binding to and potentiating antithrombin III, leading to preferential inhibition of coagulation factor Xa over factor IIa (thrombin) and thereby reducing fibrin clot formation.[2][5] Developed as a follow-on product to reference enoxaparin brands such as Clexane, Enoxalow is produced by Blau Farmacêutica and has been evaluated in pharmacodynamic crossover trials versus Clexane, using anti‑factor Xa and anti‑factor IIa activities, tissue factor pathway inhibitor activity, and the anti‑Xa/anti‑IIa ratio as surrogate markers of circulating drug exposure.[1][6] Clinically, as an enoxaparin sodium product, it is intended for prevention and treatment of thromboembolic disorders such as deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and ischemic complications of acute coronary syndromes in surgical and medically ill patients, administered predominantly by subcutaneous injection.[2][3][4][5]
