Overview

ENS-002 is an investigational **topical live biotherapeutic product** from Concerto Biosciences for **atopic dermatitis**. It consists of **three skin-derived, clonal, commensal, non-pathogenic bacterial strains** formulated in equal ratio and selected using the company's kChip microbial-combination screening platform. The product is designed to **suppress the proliferation and virulent behavior of *Staphylococcus aureus*** on atopic skin while **preserving beneficial commensal microbes**, thereby addressing a microbiome deficiency rather than acting as an immunosuppressant or antibiotic. Publicly disclosed clinical data describe ENS-002 as having completed a first-in-human Phase 1b study in adults with mild-to-moderate atopic dermatitis, with favorable safety findings and preliminary evidence of eczema improvement and reduction of *S. aureus* abundance.
