Overview
Enteromicro Complex is a symbiotic nutritional supplement for veterinary use in dogs and cats, developed by Nextmune. [3, 5] It is designed to support intestinal health and restore the balance of gut microflora, particularly during periods of dietary changes, stress, or following medication use. [4, 16] The product is a combination of probiotics, prebiotics, and other functional ingredients. Its mechanism involves replenishing beneficial gut bacteria with probiotics like microencapsulated *Enterococcus faecium* (strain NCIMB 10415), while prebiotics such as Fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) and Mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS) nourish the native microbiome. [7, 8, 9] Additional components include bovine colostrum to support the immune system, pectins to help form solid stools and protect the intestinal lining, and plant extracts like fennel (*Foeniculum vulgare*) and blackberry (*Rubus fruticosus*) to soothe the gastrointestinal tract.
