Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Entervax** is an investigational oral, bivalent live-attenuated bacterial vaccine developed by Prokarium for prevention of enteric fever caused by *Salmonella enterica* serovars Typhi and Paratyphi A. The fixed-combination product contains the attenuated *S. Typhi* strain ZH9 plus ZH9PA, an engineered ZH9 derivative designed to express *S. Paratyphi* A lipopolysaccharide O:2 and H:a flagellin antigens. It is intended to induce mucosal and systemic immune responses against antigenic determinants from both enteric-fever serovars. Entervax was evaluated in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 1 study in healthy adults. ([clinicaltrials.gov](https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT04349553))
