Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Entinostat + exemestane is a combination therapy consisting of entinostat, an oral selective class I histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor, and exemestane, an aromatase inhibitor. This combination is designed to overcome endocrine therapy resistance in hormone receptor-positive (HR+) advanced or metastatic breast cancer. Entinostat works by targeting epigenetic mechanisms that contribute to resistance to hormonal therapies, while exemestane reduces estrogen production by inhibiting the aromatase enzyme.
