Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Entrozyme is a digestive enzyme combination product developed and marketed by Stadmed Private Limited. It contains two primary active ingredients: pepsin (10 mg) and fungal diastase (50 mg). Pepsin is a proteolytic enzyme that facilitates the breakdown of dietary proteins into smaller peptides, while fungal diastase (a form of alpha-amylase) aids in the digestion of starch and complex carbohydrates by hydrolyzing them into simpler sugars. The medication is indicated for the treatment of digestive disturbances, dyspepsia, and conditions characterized by impaired production of gastric juices. It is formulated as oral tablets and is currently available in the Indian pharmaceutical market.
