Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**ENTX_001** is an investigational targeted liposomal poly-proteo-liposome developed by Endolytix for intracellular mycobacterial infections. It encapsulates Endolytix Cocktail 1, a four-enzyme antibacterial cocktail comprising mycobacteriophage-derived lysins LysA and LysB plus alpha-amylase and isoamylase. The enzymes enzymatically disrupt three layers of the mycobacterial envelope: the extracellular capsule, mycomembrane, and peptidoglycan. In published in-vitro and ex-vivo studies, ENTX_001 showed bactericidal activity against rapid- and slow-growing nontuberculous mycobacteria and Mycobacterium tuberculosis, including activity in macrophages infected with Mycobacteroides abscessus and Mycobacterium avium.
