ENX-201 (formerly 2B3-201) is a brain-targeted, glutathione-decorated PEGylated liposomal formulation of methylprednisolone developed by EnhanX Biopharm. The drug utilizes a proprietary delivery platform known as G-Technology, which employs glutathione-coated liposomes to facilitate the transport of methylprednisolone across the blood-brain barrier (BBB) via endogenous glutathione transporters. By enhancing CNS penetration and potentially reducing systemic exposure, ENX-201 is designed to treat neuroinflammatory conditions such as acute relapsing multiple sclerosis (MS) more effectively than standard corticosteroid therapy. It has been evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in patients with relapsing MS.
