Enzynorm

Enzynorm is a fixed combination pharmaceutical product containing pepsin and betaine hydrochloride (often referred to as amino acid hydrochloride). It is primarily indicated for the treatment of functional dyspepsia and other digestive disorders associated with gastric hypoacidity (low stomach acid production). Pepsin serves as a proteolytic enzyme that initiates the breakdown of dietary proteins into smaller peptides in the stomach. Betaine hydrochloride acts as an acidifying agent, lowering the gastric pH to provide the optimal acidic environment necessary for the activation of pepsinogen into pepsin and for the subsequent enzymatic activity of pepsin. This combination helps alleviate symptoms such as bloating, postprandial fullness, and upper abdominal pain by supporting the initial stages of protein digestion in patients with impaired gastric secretion.
