Overview

EO2040 is an innovative, off-the-shelf peptide-based immunotherapy developed by Enterome. It consists of two synthetic OncoMimics peptides, which are non-self, microbial-derived peptides designed to mimic CD8 HLA-A2 epitopes corresponding to the tumor-associated antigens Forkhead box protein M1 (FOXM1) and Baculoviral IAP repeat-containing protein 5 (survivin). Additionally, EO2040 includes universal cancer peptide 2 (UCP2), a helper peptide representing a CD4+ epitope. The therapy aims to stimulate both cytotoxic and helper T cell responses against these tumor antigens through molecular mimicry. EO2040 is being evaluated as a therapeutic cancer vaccine in patients with circulating tumor DNA-defined minimal residual disease relapse of advanced colorectal cancer. It is currently in Phase 2 clinical trials as monotherapy and in combination with the checkpoint inhibitor nivolumab[1][3][4][5].
