Overview

EO2318 is an innovative OncoMimic peptide-based immunotherapy developed by Enterome, specifically targeting mismatch repair proficient (pMMR) and microsatellite stable (MSS) colorectal adenocarcinoma. The drug is based on Enterome's proprietary Mimicry platform, which identifies bacterial peptides from the human gut microbiome that share high structural similarity with tumor-associated antigens (TAAs). By administering these synthetic bacterial mimics, EO2318 aims to activate and expand pre-existing memory T cells that were originally primed by the microbiome, redirecting them to recognize and eliminate cancer cells. This approach is designed to overcome the low immunogenicity typically associated with MSS CRC, which often fails to respond to standard checkpoint inhibitors. EO2318 is currently being evaluated in clinical trials in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitors and standard-of-care chemotherapy to enhance anti-tumor immune responses.
