Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EORA-204 is a small molecule orexin-1 receptor antagonist being developed by Eolas Therapeutics for the treatment of cocaine-use disorder. It is part of the Eolas Orexin-1 Receptor Antagonist (EORA) program, which focuses on modulating neural reward pathways to address the brain circuitry of addiction. By selectively targeting the orexin-1 receptor (OX1R), EORA-204 aims to reduce drug craving and the motivation to consume cocaine without the sedative effects typically associated with orexin-2 receptor antagonism. The drug is designed to treat substance use disorders by directly addressing the underlying neurobiology of addiction. EORA-204 is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
