Overview

EP80061 is a synthetic heparan sulfate (HS) mimetic oligosaccharide developed by Endotis Pharma as a "small-glyco" drug for oncology. It is designed to interfere with the interactions between heparan sulfate proteoglycans and various heparin-binding proteins that drive tumor growth, angiogenesis, and metastasis. Specifically, EP80061 binds to and modulates the activity of growth factors and cytokines including FGF-2, PDGF-BB, VEGF-B, and SDF-1α. In preclinical mouse models, the compound demonstrated significant efficacy in delaying the growth of human rhabdomyosarcoma xenografts and reducing lung metastasis in melanoma models.
