epacadostat

Epacadostat is an orally available small molecule inhibitor of indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1 (IDO1), an enzyme responsible for the oxidation of tryptophan into kynurenine. By inhibiting IDO1, epacadostat aims to reverse tumor-induced immunosuppression and enhance antitumor immune responses. It has been investigated primarily as an immunomodulatory and antineoplastic agent in various cancers including melanoma, head and neck cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, renal cell carcinoma, urogenital cancer, glioblastoma, ovarian carcinoma, and others. The drug was developed by Incyte Corporation and has been studied both as monotherapy and in combination with other agents such as pembrolizumab[1][2][4][5].
