Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Epaplus Sleepcare is a dietary supplement developed by the Spanish pharmaceutical company Peroxfarma (Peróxidos Farmacéuticos) to support sleep quality and regulate the sleep-wake cycle. Its primary active ingredient is melatonin (1.98 mg), delivered in a 'Retard' extended-release tablet designed to provide sustained release over 8 hours, helping users both fall asleep and maintain sleep throughout the night. The formulation also includes tryptophan, an amino acid precursor to serotonin and melatonin, along with magnesium and vitamins B3 and B6, which act as cofactors in the endogenous synthesis of melatonin. It is indicated for individuals experiencing difficulty falling asleep, frequent nighttime awakenings, jet lag, or delayed sleep phase syndrome. The product is marketed as vegan-friendly and free from gluten, lactose, and sugar.
