EPC-002 is an investigational, fully human, armored chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy targeting the immune checkpoint ligand B7-H3 (CD276) and designed to counter multiple mechanisms of tumor microenvironment (TME) immunosuppression in solid tumors. Preclinical data presented by Elpis Biopharmaceuticals show that EPC-002 CAR-T cells reduce regulatory T-cell proliferation, modulate CAR-T and bystander immune cell activation, enhance tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) infiltration, overcome TME-mediated suppression, and mediate complete tumor regression with long-term persistence in solid tumor mouse models at low CAR-T doses.[3][9][10] The program is being developed primarily for a broad range of advanced solid tumors, including but not limited to melanoma, pancreatic, renal cell, and other solid malignancies, with early clinical development focused on establishing safety and proof of concept in patients with solid tumors.[1][3][5][11]
