Overview

EPC-004 is an armored, bispecific chimeric antigen receptor natural killer (CAR-NK) cell therapy currently in preclinical development by Elpis Biopharmaceuticals for the treatment of multiple myeloma. The therapy is engineered using Elpis's proprietary technology platforms to simultaneously target two distinct tumor antigens and incorporate "armor" mechanisms designed to enhance the potency, persistence, and activity of the NK cells within the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. This dual-targeting approach is intended to mitigate tumor escape due to antigen heterogeneity, while the armored component aims to overcome common barriers to cell therapy efficacy in hematological malignancies. The specific tumor antigen targets for this candidate have not been publicly disclosed.
