Overview

Epcoritamab + rituximab is an investigational combination therapy being evaluated for the first-line treatment of patients with previously untreated, high-tumor-burden follicular lymphoma. Epcoritamab (Epkinly) is a bispecific IgG1 antibody that simultaneously binds to CD3 on T cells and CD20 on B cells, facilitating T-cell-mediated lysis of malignant B cells. Rituximab is a chimeric monoclonal antibody that targets CD20, inducing cell death through antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC). This specific regimen is the subject of a Phase 2 clinical trial (NCT05783609) led by Dr. Reid Merryman at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, representing an effort to move bispecific antibody therapy into earlier lines of treatment for follicular lymphoma.
