Overview

The EphA10 bispecific antibody is a preclinical biologic drug candidate being developed by the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute (WEHI) in collaboration with Roche. It is designed to treat aggressive solid cancers by targeting Ephrin type-A receptor 10 (EphA10), a member of the Eph receptor tyrosine kinase family. EphA10 is frequently overexpressed in various malignancies, including breast and prostate cancers, while maintaining very low expression levels in normal tissues, making it an ideal target for precision oncology. As a bispecific antibody, this molecule is engineered to simultaneously bind EphA10 on tumor cells and likely a second target, such as CD3 on T-cells, to facilitate the direct recruitment and activation of the immune system against the tumor. This mechanism aims to provide a potent and selective therapeutic option for patients with advanced or treatment-resistant solid tumors.
