Overview

EPHA2 CAR-T is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy being developed by Guangzhou FineImmune Biotechnology for the treatment of glioblastoma. The therapy consists of a patient's own T cells that have been genetically engineered to express a CAR specific for Ephrin type-A receptor 2 (EPHA2), a receptor tyrosine kinase that is overexpressed in up to 90% of glioblastoma tumors but has minimal expression in normal brain tissue. Upon re-infusion into the patient, these engineered cells recognize and bind to EPHA2 on the surface of glioblastoma cells, triggering antigen-specific activation and subsequent tumor cell lysis. This asset is part of the company's SUPER CAR-T/TCR-T platform.
