Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EpiCream is a prescription-only topical skin barrier repair cream developed by Primus Pharmaceuticals. It is FDA-cleared as a medical device for the management and relief of burning and itching associated with various dermatoses, including atopic dermatitis, irritant contact dermatitis, and radiation dermatitis. The product is formulated with a physiological ratio of essential lipids—ceramides, cholesterol, and free fatty acids—that mimic the natural composition of the stratum corneum. By replenishing these lipids, EpiCream restores the skin's barrier integrity, reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL), and protects the skin from environmental triggers, providing a non-steroidal option for managing inflammatory skin conditions.
