**Epigenetically modified autologous tumor cell vaccine** is an individualized whole-tumor-cell cancer vaccine developed by the National Cancer Institute. It is manufactured from a patient's surgically resected tumor cells, which are treated ex vivo with decitabine and radiation to increase expression of cancer-testis antigens before administration as a vaccine. In the NCI Phase 1 thoracic-metastasectomy study, the vaccine was administered intramuscularly with ISCOMATRIX adjuvant alongside metronomic cyclophosphamide and celecoxib, with the goal of inducing tumor-antigen-directed immune responses and reducing recurrence after resection of metastatic sarcoma, melanoma, germ cell tumor, or epithelial malignancy.
