Overview

Epinastine + pseudoephedrine is a combination of two pharmaceutical agents used primarily for the symptomatic treatment of allergic conditions involving nasal and ocular symptoms. Epinastine is an H1 histamine receptor antagonist that prevents the effects of histamine, thereby reducing allergic symptoms such as itching, particularly in allergic conjunctivitis[3][6]. Pseudoephedrine is a sympathomimetic agent that acts as an alpha- and beta-adrenergic agonist, leading to vasoconstriction in the nasal mucosa and resulting in relief from nasal congestion[2][7]. The combination targets both ocular and nasal symptoms associated with allergies or upper respiratory tract infections.
