Overview

Epinephrine + β-endorphin is a combination of two endogenous compounds with distinct but potentially complementary mechanisms of action. Epinephrine (also known as adrenaline) is a catecholamine hormone and neurotransmitter that acts on alpha and beta adrenergic receptors throughout the body, leading to increased heart rate, bronchodilation, vasoconstriction, and enhanced glucose release. It is widely used in emergency medicine for anaphylaxis, cardiac arrest, and severe asthma due to its rapid sympathomimetic effects[4][5]. β-Endorphin (beta-endorphin) is an endogenous opioid neuropeptide produced primarily in the pituitary gland and central nervous system. It acts as a potent agonist at mu-opioid receptors (μ-opioid receptor), providing strong analgesic effects—estimated to be much more potent than morphine on a per-molar basis—and modulating stress response, mood, reward pathways, immune function, appetite regulation, and homeostasis[3][6][8]. The combination of epinephrine with β-endorphin has been studied experimentally for potential synergistic or modulatory effects on physiological processes such as memory consolidation[1], pain management[6], stress response[8], glucose metabolism[2], and behavioral outcomes. However, there are no approved pharmaceutical products or established clinical indications for this specific combination; its use remains investigational.
