Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Epinephrine Cyclops® is a pre-loaded, disposable, breath-powered dry powder inhaler (DPI) developed by PureIMS for the fast and reliable treatment of allergies and impending anaphylaxis. It utilizes the proprietary Cyclops® technology to deliver epinephrine (adrenaline), a small molecule catecholamine agonist that acts on adrenergic receptors. The device is designed to be credit card-sized and user-friendly, providing a non-invasive alternative to traditional intramuscular epinephrine auto-injectors. Clinical data indicates that inhalation via the Cyclops® platform achieves therapeutic plasma concentrations within five minutes, offering a faster and less variable time to peak concentration compared to intramuscular administration. The drug is currently in clinical development, with Phase 1 trials completed and Phase 2 trials in preparation.
