EPINORM

EPINORM is a topical gel formulation developed by Epitech, primarily containing the ALIAmide adelmidrol. It is designed for gynecological applications, specifically to manage chronic pelvic pain, vulvar discomfort, and to promote healing after episiotomy. The mechanism of action involves the ALIA (Autacoid Local Injury Antagonism) effect, where adelmidrol modulates the activation and degranulation of mast cells and other non-neuronal immune cells. By downregulating mast cell hyperactivity, EPINORM helps reduce inflammation and associated pain in the pelvic and vaginal tissues.
