Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of epirubicin (an anthracycline) and cyclophosphamide with granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) support using either filgrastim or lenograstim. The EC component is a standard chemotherapy combination used in breast cancer treatment, while the G-CSF components (filgrastim or lenograstim) are administered to stimulate the production of neutrophils and reduce the risk of febrile neutropenia. This combination is typically administered in cycles every 2-3 weeks.
