Overview

The combination of epirubicin and vindesine is a chemotherapy regimen used primarily in the treatment of advanced breast cancer. This combination has been studied in several clinical trials to evaluate its efficacy compared to single-agent therapy or other combinations. Epirubicin is an anthracycline topoisomerase II inhibitor, which is a 4'-epi-isomer of doxorubicin. It works by interfering with DNA synthesis and function[3]. Vindesine is a vinca alkaloid that stops cancer cells from dividing by disrupting microtubule formation, ultimately leading to cell death[4].
