Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Epiutide is a synthetic peptide therapeutic developed by Wuhan Yicheng Biotechnology for the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis. Formulated as an ophthalmic solution, it is designed to modulate the allergic response by targeting the IgE-mediated pathway. Specifically, it is intended to inhibit the interaction between Immunoglobulin E (IgE) and its high-affinity receptor (FcεRI) on mast cells and basophils, thereby preventing the release of inflammatory mediators like histamine. The drug has been investigated in Phase 2 clinical trials in China to evaluate its safety and efficacy in patients with allergic conjunctivitis.
