Epivotide is a synthetic peptide-based therapeutic vaccine developed by Wuhan Yicheng Biotechnology for the treatment of perennial allergic rhinitis (PAR) triggered by house dust mites. The drug consists of a combination of specific T-cell epitopes derived from the major allergens of *Dermatophagoides farinae* and *Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus*. By delivering these peptides, epivotide aims to induce peripheral T-cell tolerance or shift the immune response from a pro-allergic Th2 profile toward a Th1 or regulatory T-cell (Treg) profile. This desensitization process reduces the production of allergen-specific IgE and the subsequent release of inflammatory mediators, providing long-term relief from symptoms such as sneezing, nasal congestion, and itching. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 3 clinical trials in China.
