Overview

EPRA-0322 is a mono-specific antibody engineered as a highly specific erythropoietin receptor (EPOR) agonist. It is designed for low-dose, infrequent subcutaneous administration (4–6 times per year), aiming to provide a more convenient and potentially safer alternative to traditional recombinant erythropoietin therapies. Unlike existing EPO-based treatments, EPRA-0322 is developed to avoid activation of non-target receptors, thereby reducing the risk of off-target effects. The drug is being advanced by EPOK Therapeutics for the management of anemia, particularly in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), cancer, or those undergoing chemotherapy or HIV treatment[1][2].
