EPS 226 is a preclinical-stage monoclonal antibody of the IgE isotype targeting the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2). Developed by Epsilogen, it is being investigated for the treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer. Unlike traditional IgG-based antibodies, EPS 226 utilizes the IgE isotype to leverage the unique properties of the IgE-mediated immune response, which includes high-affinity binding to FcεRI receptors on effector cells like mast cells, basophils, and eosinophils.
