EPS8 peptide-specific dendritic cell vaccine is an autologous cellular immunotherapy designed to target tumors that overexpress the Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor Pathway Substrate 8 (EPS8). EPS8 is a scaffolding protein involved in cell signaling, actin remodeling, and cell proliferation, which is frequently upregulated in various malignancies including acute myeloid leukemia (AML), cervical cancer, and colorectal cancer. The vaccine is produced by isolating a patient's peripheral blood mononuclear cells, differentiating them into mature dendritic cells ex vivo, and pulsing them with specific HLA-restricted EPS8-derived peptides (such as EPS8-727 or EPS8-94). Once re-administered to the patient, these activated dendritic cells act as professional antigen-presenting cells, presenting the EPS8 antigens to the patient's immune system. This process specifically stimulates cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) to recognize and eliminate EPS8-expressing malignant cells through a targeted immune response.
