Overview

EPV-CoV-19 is a peptide-based, T cell epitope–driven COVID-19 vaccine candidate developed using EpiVax’s iVAX computational toolkit to select conserved SARS-CoV-2 sequences predicted to elicit robust cellular immunity across diverse HLA types.[1][5][9] The vaccine consists of synthetic peptides containing T cell epitopes derived from the spike, membrane, and envelope proteins of SARS‑CoV‑2, aiming to induce broad, durable T cell responses that reduce the risk of severe COVID‑19 and retain efficacy against variants that escape spike-focused antibody responses.[1][5] Designed by EpiVax and licensed to EpiVax Therapeutics, EPV-CoV-19 has completed IND‑enabling preclinical validation, demonstrating immunogenicity in vitro in human T cell assays from convalescent COVID‑19 patients and in vivo in HLA transgenic mouse models, and was advanced toward early-phase clinical testing.[1][5][11]
