Equine tetanus immunoglobulin (F(ab')2) is a biological preparation containing specific antibodies (antitoxins) derived from the plasma of horses immunized against tetanus toxin. The product is processed through enzymatic digestion to yield F(ab')2 fragments, which retain the ability to neutralize the tetanus toxin (tetanospasmin) produced by *Clostridium tetani* while reducing the risk of hypersensitivity reactions and serum sickness compared to whole-molecule equine IgG. Developed by Yuxi Jiuzhou Biotechnology, it is primarily indicated for providing immediate, short-term passive immunity for the prevention and treatment of tetanus infection, particularly in cases where human tetanus immunoglobulin is unavailable.
